Mobius Strip

Today we had eight people missing from class. Rather than our usual mathematics programme, we did some investigating with Mobius Strips. Experiment one involved twisting a cylinder of paper 180 degrees. We had to predict what we thought might happen when we chopped through the middle, the entire way around. Experiment two involved 360 degrees (or two half turns). Again we made a prediction. Experiment three was an investigation we were curious about. Micah Jaye was wondering what might happen when you join two mobius strips together and chop them seperately. Clever thinking if you ask me!!! Check out our individual blogs to see a fotobabble recording of our hypothesis and results we figured out today during maths
